The Gambia National Women’s Scorpions have for the second time on the trot handsomely beaten Guinea Bissau in a friendly international on Monday February 26th in Bissau.

This was the return leg warm up between the two countries when the Gambia hosted the former Portuguese colony in September 2017 in Banjul and beating them 2 nil with decent goals from Adama Tamba and Isatou Jallow.

As the Women Scorpions gear up for their continental qualifier against Burkina Faso later in April, coach Mariama Bom Sowe preoccupies herself and team with a line up of warm up matches to hone the skills of her charges ahead of the April Qualifier.

The Gambia brushed off Bissau with two first half goals from its League leading goal poacher Adama Tamba before she added a third earning her a hat trick in the second period and youngster Ola Buwaro sealing the victory for the visitors. Bissau could only be consoled with a solo effort goal before the end of full time.
