Gambia 2-3 Senegal In Friendly International

The Gambia Women’s Scorpions pegged their hosts Senegal to come from behind but narrowly lost in a 3-2 margin at Wednesday’s first of the double international friendlies between the two countries.
The hosts took the lead twice before the visitors pull one back through Red Scorpions skipper Adama Tamba that took the game into lemon time.

The Gambia readjusted their game plan to resort to parity after resumption from the break but Senegal increased the scoring. As if the Women’s Scorpions were caught up by the traveling fatigue, Tamba’s club mate Ola Buwaro made a nimble footed run across the right side of the area after a beautiful interchange of pass that found the athlete at ease to place in a neatly right footed hit at the right corner of post ending the game 3-2 for a narrow win to Senegal.
The teams will resume for the second and final friendly on Saturday 21st December 2019 after a full time recess where the Gambia is expected to make a comeback.
