The Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) President Mr. Ahmad Ahmad has congratulated Rtd. Captain Lamin Kaba Bajo on his re-election as the President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF). Mr. Bajo, was re-elected for a new four-year mandate with a landslide 63 votes after his challenger Malick Sillah’s polled 2 votes in an Elective Congress held on Saturday the 18th August, 2018 at a local hotel in Banjul.
The Malagassy, 58, in a congratulatory letter dispatched to the GFF this morning expressed his and CAF’s optimism and confidence that Mr. Bajo’s, a career diplomat and seasoned Minister, experience, know-how, and leadership will benefit football in The Gambia and allow its continuous development.

“On behalf of the African Confederation of Football, I would like to offer you our warmest congratulation for your re-election as President of The Gambia Football Federation. We wish you a very successful tenure in your position and rest assured that you can count on the support of the Confederation to develop football within your region,” Mr. Ahmad, the Vice President of the Malagassy Senate added in the letter.
