Ndong has maintained many of those that have featured for the Scorpions this year but contains new faces in the form of Raymond Mendy of CS Sfaxien and Mohamed Badamosi of FUS Rabat. Ablie Jallow of FC Metz has had his senior Scorpions debut delayed due to his current injury status. However, Ebou Adams, on loan to Shrewsbury Town from his parent club Norwich City, is another new face which adds a bright and youthful look to the Scorpions squad.

The Scorpions are in Group D of the AFCON qualifiers with their next competitive game in March 2018 against the Desert Foxes of Algeria at home. These friendlies present the final opportunity for those to stake their place in the squad for the huge challenge that the Algerians will present.
