Royale Spanish Football Boss Sends Condolence On Biri’s Passing

The passing on late Alh Momodou Njie ( Biri Biri) continues to attract attention across the world. Following his final rest to abode on Wednesday 22nd July 2020 at a National Funeral (Hommage) held at the Banjul Arch, the President of Royale Spanish Football Federation Luis M Rubiales has dispatched a message of condolences on the passing of the late football icon.

Writing through the GFF President Mr Lamin Kaba Bajo, the Royale Spanish Football Boss also eulogized Biri Biri as a true legend not only at CF Seville but around the world.

” It is with deep sadness and sorrow that i received the news about Biri Biri’s death. Fans not only from Seville but from all around Spain will always have in their memories such a football great”.

Mr Rubiales writing on behalf of the Spanish football family, said he is aware that Biri Biri will be missed not only for his football abilities and talent but also for the kind of person he was and the way he encouraged the team and colleagues.

“On behalf of the football family in Spain, i would like to express our deepest condolences to one of the best players that we have enjoyed in Spain, especially those who witnessed his talent in the Ramon Sanchez- Pizjuan Stadium”.

Biri Biri is widely remembered for his exploits with Seville in Spain, a club he represented for five years. Seville is one of the strongest teams in Europe having won five European Cups thanks to the solid foundations laid by the legend and his teammates. He left a legacy in the hearts of Seville fans which will never be forgotten, as both a legend and an idol.

It could be recalled that earlier in March 2020, GFF President Lamin Kaba Bajo at the invitation of the Spanish FF President had discussed and agreed amongst others for the two Federations to establish a bilateral cooperation for the development of the game in their respective countries.
