Real De Banjul have climbed to the top of League One standing following their two goal cushion over Fortune FC in Match Day Two of the domestic competition.
Played at the Banjul Mini Stadium on Friday 13th December 2019, the Whites returned to renew their intent after they had a bad start at the campaign collecting only a point at their opening Fixture.
Fortune FC started with their new signings in Bully Drammeh and Lamin Chatty but Real gained most of the possession and it was until youngster Alagie Kujabi to open the scoring for Real after he stroke in a delivery from Abdoulie Kah leading Real into the break.
Fortune’s Chatty and Bully had their tests against the Whites when second half resumed and it was Lamin Chatty who poked at goal but found Ebrima Jarju at ease waiting. Moments later Kajali Drammeh scored an important goal to seal victory for the capital based side despite attempts by Fortune FC to come from behind.
Real are now on 4 points joint top on the League standing with Brikama United on a slender goal difference.
Elsewhere Tallinding United narrowly beat BK Milan One nil while in League Two Jarra West sailed over Bombada 2-1 at the Soma Mini Stadium.
Matches continue over the weekend with Marimoo hosting GAF at the Manjai Mini Stadium while Waa Banjul will hope to go at the summit when they hosts Banjul United on Saturday. 2nd Infantry will also take on PSV Wellingara at the Soma Mini Stadium the same day.
