GFF, Vista Bank Sign Three-Year Sponsorship Agreement

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and Vista Bank Gambia Ltd., on Wednesday 11th December, 2024, signed a partnership agreement to serve as one of the sponsors of the domestic men’s first division league competition.
The groundbreaking agreement will be in place for the next three years and the Bank will give the GFF 2.5 million dalasi annually for the duration of the sponsorship. The monumental agreement was signed between the President of the GFF, Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo, and Mr. Eric Obeng Saah, the Managing Director of Vista Bank Gambia Ltd. The ceremony was held at the Bank’s Head Office on the Kairaba Avenue.
Speaking at the event, President Bajo described the agreement as another milestone achievement by his Executive Committee in their quest to professionalise the domestic men’s top flight league competition ahead of the 2025/26 season. He added that the partnership with Vista Bank will only grow from strength to strength, noting that it will go a long way in easing some of the financial burden on the Federation.
Speaking earlier, the Managing Director of Vista Bank, Eric Obeng Saah hailed the partnership between his Bank and the GFF as a very strong one that stretches back to many years. He said the long-term plan of Vista Bank is to help the GFF in terms of further improving the football infrastructural currently in place. He thanked President Bajo for having an open door policy, adding that the GFF has, over the years, been a very good partner of his Bank.
Alkali Bah, the Deputy Managing Director of Vista Bank gave the closing remarks, echoing similar sentiments made by his MD. He further expressed excitement in partnering with the GFF for football development in the country.
The ceremony was also attended by the Second Vice President, Mr. Ebou Faye who is also the Head of Competition Matters, the Fourth Vice President Ms. Sainabou Cham, the General Secretary, Lamin M. Jassey as well as members of the Senior Management Team of both the GFF and Vista Bank.
Finally, as a result of this latest partnership agreement, the men’s top flight competition will henceforth be called: The GFF First Division League Vista Bank Baluwo Official Partners.
