Mr Bajo received news of his deserved appointment recently just after the Continental body concluded their Executive meeting in Cape Coast Ghana where the final of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) was held.
This is the largest sub-committee under the CAF purview mandate d for the organization and successful conduct of CAF’S flagship tournament.
It is the second time just under seven months that Mr Bajo has been trusted heavily by CAF for his inclusion into high profile positions within the Continental body. It could be recalled that the Gambian FF President was earlier on also appointed member into the CAF Reforms Committee tasks with revising and restructuring CAF competition format in line with international standards.
Both accolades came on the heels of a new Football dispensation in CAF after former Madagascar FA President Ahmad emerged winner at last Match CAF election held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia ending the long time reign of Issa Hayatou.
Kabba was formerly a member of the CAF Organizing Committee for the 2015 Total U-23 Africa Cup of Nations where he rose to the rank of match commissioner at the tournament held in Senegal. His hard work and dedication was rewarded with a medal for his services and he was also assigned to the 2017 Total U-20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Zambia.
The news of Mr Bajo’s new assignment was received at the Football Federation with pleasant joy and pride with renewed hope of the Football leadership’s fervent wish to developing football in the Gambia as enshrined in the GFF Executive Committee’s Four Year blue print.
