The President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo, today presented a full set of jerseys to the Deaf Scorpions in a ceremony at Football House in Kanifing.
The presentation is made to dress the team in an all-Saller kits for the forthcoming West African Deaf Cup of Nations that will be hosted by The Gambia between the 25th to 31st October, 2021.
The set of 23 pairs consist of red shirts, blue shorts and green socks as well as an all-green goalkeeper uniform. Mr. Bajo presented the materials to the President of The Gambia Deaf Sports Association Mr. Lamin Ceesay and it was also attended by the General Secretary of the GFF, Mr. Lamin M. Jassey.
Mr. Bajo expressed his pleasure in contributing to the successful campaign of the Gambian team in the competition and thanked Mr. Ceesay for his continuous support towards the development of football in the country.
Speaking through an interpreter, Mr. Ceesay thanked the GFF boss for the kind gesture, noting that it will go a long way in aiding the team’s successful campaign in the competition. He assured Mr. Bajo of his support in football and sports development in general.
The Chief Executive of the GFF, Mr. Jassey, thanked Mr. Bajo for coming to the aid of the team, while imploring the beneficiaries to make best use of the materials. He recalled similar gestures from Football House to the team in the form of a newly bought motorcycle for them sometime ago.
The six-nation tournament will be competed by the hosts, Gambia, Senegal, Guinea Conakry, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Ghana.
