The Events Management Committee of the GFF has recently announced the cost of entry tickets for the Gambia VS Central African Republic ( CAR ) in a friendly international match schedule for Friday March 23rd in Banjul.
The Chairman of the EMC Willie Abraham says the Committee in consultation with the GFF has agreed to peg entry tickets as affordable as one can access. He revealed that VIP will be charged at D300, Covered pavilions at D50 and Uncovered pavilions at only D25. He said the Committee is aware of the purchasing power of the average stakeholder and thus has considered entry to commensurate with their earnings.
‘By this, we call on all the fans, supporters, fans club and every Gambian to turn out in numbers to support the Scorpions because the national team belongs to every Gambian and therefore we should all at least chip in one way or the other to support them’, Willie said.
The Committee further announced that Independence Stadium gates would be opened as early as 12 mid day and thus tickets would be sold only at the stadium gates and only on the match day.
The Gambia and CAR will face off for the second time in a year both friendlies been preparatory matches for AfCON Qualifiers 2019. The Gambia’s first match with the CAR was in March 2017 Rabat, Morocco where the Scorpions camped for a training program and eventually beat CAR 2 nil in their second warm up with goals from Modou Barrow and Mustapha Carayol.
The EMC says the Friday friendly will kick off at 5pm.
Meanwhile, the GFF Coaching Staff has also announced that its squad list would be revealed at mid week for the consumption of the general public. According to Scorpions Coach Sang John Ndong, invitation has earlier been sent to players in Europe and elsewhere and the team is now finalizing the process to release the list.
